Cativa Health has launched a “science-based” cannabidiol brand developed in partnership with scientists at Princeton University and the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy.
The company claims its products have been “rigorously formulated” and will launch with its Restore CBD Body Cream, a moisturiser crafted with a proprietary formula designed to penetrate skin quickly and effectively.
A second product, the Balance CBD Sublingual Tablets, are set to launch in early October.
A press release stated Cativa CBD’s products are sustainably produced using hemp cultivated and processed in the United States.
“We are excited to enter into the CBD market with Cativa CBD,” said Dr Johnny Garcia, CEO and co-founder of Cativa CBD.
“The tremendous growth in the market proves that CBD has the power to change the future of wellness and health.”
He added: “It made sense to combine our science, technology, and relationships with research institutions worldwide to create CBD products with improved performance.”
Cativa CBD’s launch coincides with the PGA’s TOUR Championship to support golfer Marc Leishman, the company’s first brand ambassador.
Marc Leishman is a top-ranked Australian professional golfer who won the PGA’s 2009 Rookie of the Year award.
“The fact that Marc is willing to stand with Cativa CBD is a testament to our science and the products created from it,” says Professor Rodney Priestley, Cativa CBD’s co-founder and Professor and Vice Dean of Innovation at Princeton University.
Cativa CBD has licensed technology developed at Princeton University and works with the Zeeh Pharmaceutical Station of the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy to set it apart from other CBD brands, allowing it to utilise technologies and formulations not found with other brands.
The company’s access to exclusive intellectual property is directly linked to the creation and manufacturing of its products.
